We have other events Cara and Oscar helping makes brownies and then baking cookies and decorating them! Charlotte is learning to sew. She made a pillow for her dolls and I made her a craft apron that she can wear while she does her many crafts. So I guess I better get busy and update soon by adding pictures! I'll have plenty of pictures when we come back from our trip to Disney in March!

First Weekend in October

Dillon in huddle at his football game. He is 32The first weekend in October was filled with two football games! Dillon played at 8:30 then after his game a quick trip thru McDonald's! Sorry Oscar no nuggets and french fries before 10:30. (So he settled for hash browns).
Vincent in his huddle, he is 31. Then to the southside of Indy for Vincent's football game! Go Blue!
After his game we came home for naps.

.

Then for a late lunch at the apple orchard! The apple orchard was having their Heartland Apple Festival. We had a choice of pulled pork, ribeye sandwiches or hot dogs. And kettle corn and apple dumplings with ice cream for dessert. After riding in the hay wagon to pick out the "perfect pumpkin" we into Beasley's market for apple cider, caramel apples and many varieties of fresh apples. Oh!! I almost forgot they sell frozen pies from Grey's Cafeteria and we got a rhubarb pie for Scott (maybe Cara will try some too)

We came home to put the apples away and then to Pizza King for dinner. Pizza King has a train that delivers your drinks. All the kids enjoyed watching the train. After eating pizza we stopped at Cara's house so Oscar and Cara could have some playtime. Dillon enjoyed playing a new Wii game with Scott.

Then today the Colts were playing! Go Colts! We stayed in a watched the game and then went for a delicious dinner at Ted's.

Now time for a piece of delicious apple pie that Scott made today withe the apples we got yesterday!

Time for lunch and to finish it off was a slushy!
Oscar's slushy was a little big for him. but he enjoyed it!

In the play area Oscar was checking out the barn. He like the ice cream parlor (pretend ice cream) that he cooud serve to all of the others in special ice cream sundae dishes!

We explored many more areas other favorite for Oscar was the food games and the play yard with sand, water and climbing. Dillon especially enjoyed the science lab. The both liked climbing in the "mountain" and sliding out! We had a great day!

Grandma and Cara at the Zoo

I usually don't get a day off during the week but in Sept there was such a day, so I took Cara to the zoo. We must have gone a time when it was not crowded. We went to the petting of the sharks and only one other person was there. Could not get the sharks to come close enough for a picture.
Here she is looking at the elephants.
She loved hugging the goats and they are so patient. The was many hand sanitizers after this area!
Here she is looking at the new baby giraffe.
